With COMBIVERT P6 - engergised through the switches
The frequency inverter KEB P6, originally developed for wind energy, is used in the LTW Carry floor track system on a self-propelled load transporter in the stacker crane area. This transports rail-borne palletized goods for up to 1200 kg to the warehouse.
The KEB P6 is an innovative solution in the field of intralogistics developed in cooperation with our system partners Z:Systems and LTW Intralogistics GmbH (LTW) in Wolfurt, Austria. The frequency inverter KEB P6, originally developed for wind energy, is used in the LTW Carry floor track system on a self-propelled load transporter in the stacker crane area. This transports rail-borne palletized goods for up to 1200 kg to the warehouse.
Not without power, of course. On straight stretches and in curves the device is supplied via power rails. Only in switches, in which the power supply is technologically complex and therefore expensive to implement, does the LTW Carry floor track system not require external power.
This is stored in double-layer capacitors and is immediately recharged when returning to the power rails again. The journey between the power rails is safe and complete automatically controlled by a program that was written in CoDeSys and runs on the embedded controller.
The P6 has all the features necessary for realisation. They include a high-voltage battery charger, PLC, brake control, temperature sensors and humidistat or xyz-axis acceleration – it even comes with the integrated 24-volt power supply. Since the LTW Carry is also used in deep-freeze applications, it has to meet special requirements for these conditions. And, as you may have guessed, these features are already included in the P6. The P6 is designed for the toughest environments,
-30 °C to + 70 °C, and shock & vibration resistance have always been part of the P6's specifications. It even has a feature to warm up the inverter after a long idle time in frozen storage before power is switched on.
A versatile inverter for a variety of applications.
