Much in life is unpredictable – that’s how the career of Mr. Markus Weissensteiner and his professional development could be described.

The HTL graduation in electrical engineering provided the bases. As early as 1998 he entered the working world at KEB in Marchtrenk. At first as sales engineer with regional responsibility and later on as application specialist in plastics engineering nationwide.

New experiences in the drive and automation sector were made in the following period starting 2007 before Mr. Weissensteiner returned to the KEB organization in 2015.

As head of sales he was an active part in the successful business development.
Since February 2017 Markus Weissensteiner is leading the business activities for Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Serbia and Croatia as managing director of KEB Antriebstechnik Austria GmbH.

He describes his motivation as follows:
“I am convinced that as a medium-sized family-owned enterprise, we possess a unique product portfolio. A wide-range of control products, drive technology at its finest, economical geared motors and flexible magnetic solutions, no other company of our size offers that. To create solutions that give the customer an added value is motivation and challenge every day.
The reward at the end of the day is the friendly smile of a customer or employee!”
The KEB sales company stands for nearly 33 years of presence in the country. Currently 21 employees are working in technical sale, support and service to meet the requirements of the customers in the field.

The range of products includes electric drives up to 900 kW, the complete automation with IPC-based control technology for PLC, CNC and motion control tasks, suitable visualization, powerful remote maintenance and a complete software development environment. The range is complemented by servo technology, industrial geared motors as well as electromagnetic and permanent-magnet clutches and brakes.
The KEB Group currently employs more than 1,300 people worldwide and achieved a total turnover of more than 200 million euro in 2016.
