As of January 1st, 2017 Curt Bauer is the new Managing Director and fully committed to the continuation of KEB’s success story worldwide. Curt Bauer is a true homegrown asset of the enterprise and after many years in the international technical sales of the KEB founding entity Karl E. Brinkmann GmbH, he was able to develop his profile as Sales Manager Germany and moreover, as Managing Director of the KEB Antriebstechnik Austria GmbH. With the transfer of business to the KEB Automation KG at the beginning of the year, the company is rearranging its organizational structure in order to effectively expand the business of the drive and automation specialist KEB in the coming years. At the same time the expertise, gained through numerous customer relationships and the close interaction in the field of mechanical engineering, will play a major role.

For KEB the change in the responsibility of sales and marketing means a step towards the next era - in 45 years as Karl E. Brinkmann GmbH, the responsibility was in the hands of Karl-Ernst and then Thomas Brinkmann. The importance of stability is documented by the other managing directors.  Ralf Lutter, Vittorio Tavella and Wolfgang Wiele continue to carry on their duties and responsibilities since 1999.
The KEB Group achieved a total turnover of more than 200 million Euros in 2015 and was able to increase this slightly in 2016. The Group employs over 1,300 people worldwide at nine locations, 850 of them at the headquarters in East-Westphalia Barntrup. In the KEB Automation KG the synonym KEB actively entered the company name on 01.01.2017. Behind it stands the systematic further development as specialist in electric drive technology towards provider of solutions in the machinery. The existing range of electrical drives up to 900kW has been systematically expanded by an efficient program of IPC-based control technology for PLC, CNC and motion-control tasks, suitable visualization, capable remote control and a complete software development environment. Corner points in the solution package are IEC 61131 programming, real-time communication EtherCat but also integrated safety technology.
