Interlift 2017 - KEB presents system solutions for lift applications
KEB presents system solutions for lift applications
Every two years people from the sector get together in Augsburg for the world’s leading trade fair for lift technology “Interlift”.
The KEB Stand in Hall 2 was the venue for a whole range of discussions and product presentations for drive and brake solutions for lifts and escalators.
With the modern CANopen Lift communication system, presented for the first time in the lift inverters of the KEB COMBIVERT F5 range, a future standard in the entire lift sector is in the making.
Under the motto “Meet the World”, the four-day fair enabled many contacts to be made throughout the world. As well as visitors from Germany, it also proved possible, as expected, to welcome a great number of guests from other parts of Europe, America, Asia, and the Middle East. And KEB lift specialists from Germany, the USA, and Spain were ready to meet them, as expert discussion partners for providing international service.
KEB was one of the few exhibitors able to provide the complete product portfolio for the lift sector all from one source. As well as components such as inverters, energy regeneration solutions, and harmonics filters, the package is completed by special low leakage current network filters and remote maintenance solutions. For the mechanical drive sector, tried and trusted brake concepts are available. The corresponding items on display prompted discussions about acquisition and direct access for selection, use, and combination of the system components.
The high degree of flexibility, the trusted, robust, and long-life technology, the excellent motor performance values in combination with the most widely differing lift machinery, and the openness in the system for tailored solutions, all put KEB in a class of their own in this sector, and make them the suppliers of choice for customers from all over the world.
KEB provide drive system electronics, from the economical open-loop version to the highly efficient regulated system, precisely matched to meet the highest demands, up into the performance range of 250kW.
A new standard is being set for the market in the field of tried and trusted universal actuation via digital inputs, with the development in the control sector of the lift-specific CAN interface. The modern open protocol allows for the highly efficient networking of all lift components, and is already being supported by almost all major name manufacturers in the control and accessory sector.
The KEB COMBIVERT F5 drive actuators provide CANopen lift communications, together with a large number of other lift-typical properties in the new Lift Operator LCD.
Customer interest was aroused in particular by complete solutions:
- The highly-integrated 4Q AFE lift drive COMBIVERT A6 with sinusoidal current input and energy recovery for the US market, and
- the flexible switch cabinet solution as plug-and-play for the retrofit sector and new installations, provided by OCTE from France.
