COMBIVERT F6 – New freedom!

Ever faster, more compact, more flexible: with modern drive controllers, both manufacturer and user are setting the highest standards for high-level automated, safety-orientated machines. The KEB COMBIVERT F6 meets these, generating a wide range of solutions tailored to customer and sector needs.

With a  power range of 4 kW to 400 kW, the KEB COMBIVERT F6 single-axis system covers a wide range of applications. In practice, the F6 series is represented by seven enclosure sizes, achieving unprecedented compactness, with flexibility in air- and water-cooling in different design options as well.

In addition to the widely-supported motor types such as ASM, DSM, IPM, SRM, linear, high-torque motor and high speed motor, the F6 offers additional functions such as automatic anti-cogging and optimized torque pre-control for linear and non-linear kinematics.

All the types of motors listed are still operated with just one firmware in a single device version. The tried and tested sensorless control methods SCL and ASCL are also integrated.

For users reliant on control using an encoder there is a 2-channel multi-sensor interface for all encoder types such as Resolver, TTL, HTL, SinCos, SSi, EnDat, Hiperface, or BiSS.

The basic principle of all movement is the implementation of drive profiles complying with CiA402 (IEC 61800-7). Depending on the drive task in hand, applications are presented in standardized profiles that can also be adapted individually. Changes in speed, position and torque adjustment with synchronous or asynchronous transmission can be done while running.

In controller setting links, the F6 is likewise well-established. In terms of equipment range, EtherCAT or Varan and CANopen "on Board" are selectable as well as ProfiNET and POWERLINK via Realtime Ethernet Interface.

F6 ensures functional safety in the drive with STO (Safe Torque Off). Optional use of current speed-based safety functions (e.g. SLS / SLI / SLP / SDI / etc.) is also available. All safety functions can be used in applications up to SIL3 in accordance with IEC 61508 or up to PLe in accordance with ISO 13849. The safety functions are controlled via secure digital inputs or via FSoE (Fail Safe over EtherCAT) .
